The village of Boat of Garten itself is home to the country’s most famous ospreys, the memorable "Boat" golf course, the Strathspey Steam Railway,now extended and running regularly between Aviemore and Broomhill station near Nethybridge, and of course fishing in the River Spey.

Within half an hours drive, you can explore the many wonderful golf courses of the Spey Valley, some of Scotland’s most romantic hills and glens, including some of the most satisfying Munros, and the ever-changing moods of the Cairngorm National Park, home of scenic Lochs Insh, Morlich, and Garten.

The Spey Valley is also of course renowned for its whisky trail. You will find you will come back time and again.

Heath Cottage is situated in the centre of the village of Boat of Garten and has been built and furnished to the highest standards. A spacious holiday cottage sleeping six people in three bedrooms (one with ensuite), it also has a bright modern kitchen, lounge and a dining conservatory which opens out onto a furnished patio surrounded by a large grassed garden and then onto pine forests. Guests love its welcoming feeling and its warm airy rooms.
