Acknowledgments

We owe the existence of our website to many organisations and people and we would like to say a big thank you to the funding bodies who provided financial support and to those individuals who gave freely of their time and expertise.

The project has always been the baby of the Website Group from the outset – this group originally set up on ad hoc basis is now part of the Boat of Garten Community Company. All members of this group both past and present are due a vote of thanks from all the community for the work they have put into the project.

The original website set-up costs were funded by the then MBSE and Leader II; whilst the 2006/2007 upgrade has been wholly funded by the Boat of Garten Community Company; using funds bequeathed to the Company by the Boat of Garten Visitor Association . The original design and hosting was done by Saltire.net in the form of Dave Fallowes whilst John Young of Jim Thomson Graphic Design gave us our icons and other really excellent guidance and support far in excess of his brief!.

The current upgrade is the work of Intelligent Web in the form of Simon Hanmer who has not only listened to all our comments, implemented them but also undertaken the mammoth task of entirely re-coding the site so that it is accessible to all browsers etc etc.

A vote of thanks is also due to all those who have and hopefully will continue to provide us with photos; Dr Chris Carter, Neil McIntyre, James Gordon, Gerry McFarlane, Lorraine Macpherson, Allan Bantick and James Dunbar have all contributed to make our site colourful.

Of course the final thanks must go the Boat Community both resident in the village and elsewhere for supporting this website.
