The Hall Blogspot
January has been and gone as has February and we still have snow. At the time of writing it is wet and slushy but there. Amazingly, by and large, we have managed to keep the Carpark open, thanks as ever to our friendly local farmer. As a result the number of events that we have had to cancel have been relatively few. Some of the smaller groups dealing with the more elderly members of the community have, hardly surprisingly, cancelled but so far only 1 Lunch Club and that ona day when there ws the better part of 18 ins of snow!.
The Winter Talks have continued and there hav been TOMS concerts. Maybe it is a sign of the end of the winter that the last of the Winter Talks is on the 23rd March and the Summer Bird Talks will be going up on the Events calendar shortly
Like most other people little work can be done on repairing the gutters, re-doing the carpark or the solar panelling and so we are really in that waiting phase.
So we look forward to the idea of Spring even if not the reality and our summer season but first of all Easter.
