Just had another lovely week up here, even though the weather was mixed we spent most of the time outside enjoying your lovely village and surrounding area. Played golf and tennis, walked and cycled in the woods, fly-fished (unsuccessfully, I'm afraid) on the Spey, admired your lovely community garden and the new hall. A great place for a holiday and full of friendly people! Hope to be back next year.

I intend to visit Boat of Garden twice, this summer 2008. Your website is excellent and it has given me the information I need, to enjoy my short visits, to your village.
For a small village your site , is far superior to most , if not all, the othe villages, towns and even cities, in Scotland.
Keep up the good work.
Yours Sincerely, Brian

I attended my first illustrated talk last Monday and have to say that I was amazed by John Bruce’s journey from Billercay to Kathmandu in a Ford transit! It was great to see moving pictures of the journey which certainly gave a sense of the fashion, cars and buildings of the 70s. it was good to see and will encourage me to come and see more of the talks next Winter! :)

It might make for some good scuba diving though!! We may be hiding our own Nessie!

Hi and thanks for the recent comments everyone. Glad that those who came up for Hogmanay had a good time - don’t forget that now’s a good time to come and visit, hopefully we’ll be getting some more snow soon so if you’re thinking of heading up to Cairngorm, why not come and stay with us?

Carissa, glad to see you’re still visiting the site - and again thanks for the comments. I don’t think Loch Garten’s quite deep enough for submarine testing ;)

I see that there is a talk about Utah coming up soon. While admittedly Utah is very cool place I have to say I am partial to Idaho. I think that you could find A LOT of really great things about Idaho as well. Since we do share a border with Utah. We don’t have a Salt Lake but we do have the deepest freshwater lake in North America. The military does submarine testing there. We also have the World’s Center for Birds of Prey (in my hometown I might add). Well, hope all is well in Scotland!! We are watching it snow like crazy here in IDAHO! :D

Just wanted to say what a fantastic time I had during my visit to the Boat. The carols round the tree and in the community garden was a really special moment for me. Also saw the fantastic Old Blind Dogs gig on 28th Dec in the New Hall, brilliant venue and a foot stomping night was had by all! Will be coming back again, and again, and again!!! :D

We visited BOG for the hogmanay period and as usual had a fantastic trip. You’ve all done a wonderful job with the new village hall and the community art project is inspiring. Keep up the good work, we’ll be back!
Thank you.
