I attended the reception at the Community Centre this week to celebrate Iain Murray's life, and would like to thank everyone for the warm welcome given to all visitors from near and far and particularly for the great catering. It was greatly appreciated.

Best wishes

Andrew

Hello Boat of Garten,

Another great Hogmanay ceilidh in the new hall, the effort by all involved to host a good party night was well appreciated. Spoke to the chap who was selling the raffle tickets for the car park re-surfacing.... I thought he said he was Mr Hall Car Park !!
Will get his name next year !!!
Hope you succeed in raising the funding.

All the best.

Great to hear the sounds of a pipe band marching through the village yesterday... followed by all the cool little steam engines!! A wee bit smelly but worth a look... a few pics might even feature in the next BOG Standard!! :o)

Hello Boat of Garten

I have been visiting Boat of Garten and the surrounding area since I was a child and absolutely love the place, so much so that I have decided to purchase a holiday home in the Boat of Garten Holiday Park.

I think your website is terrific, but I should like to point out one thing. There appears to be very little information on whether visitors are welcome at all the activities that the village runs. Myself, my wife, and our young son would love to get invoved.

Iain

Sandy, glad you like the site & village but you'd need to talk to the golf club about their prices :)

Hi Boat of Garten
We stayed in our caravan and went to the hogamany ceilidh, had a really good time. Facilities and 'space' in the new hall certainly beat the old village hall !
A great time was had by all.

Should be back next year, thanks fir a great time.

Jim, Janice, Sheona and Camran

Hi there, glad you had a good time at Hogmanay - and you like the new hall!

Just like to congratulate Chris Carter and all the other speakers for the very successful series of Illustrated Talks this year. Each one so far has its own merits and they have all been most entertaining with subjects ranging from Calcutta by bicycle to Canoeing in Canada - brilliant!

Just had another lovely week up here, even though the weather was mixed we spent most of the time outside enjoying your lovely village and surrounding area. Played golf and tennis, walked and cycled in the woods, fly-fished (unsuccessfully, I'm afraid) on the Spey, admired your lovely community garden and the new hall. A great place for a holiday and full of friendly people! Hope to be back next year.
