A special reminder from our local farmers

Lambs.

When walking along the riverside please remember how easily lambs can be frightened and become separated from their mothers. This risks the farmer or their mother not finding them at a crucial moment or even worse them falling into the river when it is in spate. So please be careful!

Calves

When walking through a field alone or with a dog (even on a lead) please be aware that calves can be very inquisitive – particularly about dogs. The problem is that the mother can then see the dog (or yourself) as a threat to their calves and react accordingly.
